The first story is a string of mediocre sex scenes stuck together by a plot that has the consistency of watery paste. Also the Heroine has to crawl back to the Hero at the end and basically beg for a second chance which isn’t exactly the romantic ending I was looking for.

The second story is better paced, with a better build up before they actually become intimate, although the Hero only starts treating the Heroine nicely after they start having sex. Also he’s openly homophobic, with the opinion that because he believes the Heroine’s fiancé is gay, he will also automatically be an abusive, sodomising rapist as well. [Spoilers] The gay fiancé is fine btw and was being blackmailed into marrying her. He doesn’t ever get an apology from the Hero for all the nasty things he says though. [End Spoilers] Don’t know why the author felt the need to make their hero an asshole in this way but there you are.
