Glad when I had finished it
Too much meandering rather than getting on with the story

The only reason it isn't a 5 is because I don't think the beginning needed to be that long. Cried at the end though which means it's good.

Scott Sampson is a judge. The book starts with a bang when he realizes his six year old twins have been kidnapped. Where are there? Who took them? Who can they trust? Judge Sampson is forced to comply with the kidnapper's demands, making certain judgments on trials he's in, all in hopes of having his kids returned safely.

The book had many suspects, lots of suspense, lots of ups and downs. At the heart of the story it was about power and revenge and about parents trying to save their kids. The book is well written and full of tension, and not just regarding the kidnapping! The story hits the ground running and never lets up. The ending was really good, too.

I loved Brad Parks Carter Ross books and I couldn’t wait to read Say Nothing. I was definitely not disappointed. Scott Sampson is a federal judge with a loving wife and beautiful 6 year old twins. Life is good until it goes very, very bad. His twins are kidnapped and will be returned only if he issues verdicts and makes the decisions the kidnapper wants. Wrought with unbridled emotion, this extremely suspenseful story was one I couldn’t put down, but one I didn’t want to read. To call it a wild roller coaster ride would be an understatement. It is filled with tension as it grabs you from the first page and doesn’t let go. Wonderful characters, intelligent writing, thrills and chills, twists and turns all contribute to a heart wrenching and heartbreaking novel of suspense. It is a story of deceit and blackmail, pure terror, and distrust of those you love the most.
