I loved every second of this book.
While on a mission in the Dominican Republic, the MM discover another hostage being held with the little girl they are set to rescue. And once the woman realizes they are there to rescue the little girl she tells them her name and they immediately recognize her as someone who has been missing for the last year.
Not knowing who is responsible for her kidnapping Morgan goes to Colorado and stays with Arrow, while the MM try to figure it out.

My favorite of the Susan Stoker books I’ve read this far, which is lucky number 7.

For how short this book is, so much happened but not in a bad way. Morgan was kidnapped and forced to do unspeakable things while she was captured out of the country but of course the mountain mercenaries stumble across her while on another mission. She is taken back to the states after a year and has to adjust. She sees her divorced parents again, moves from Atlanta to Colorado and goes to therapy (we love that for you girl).
Arrow, rescues Morgan, falls for her relentlessness to remain strong and ultimately saves her life.

The twist towards the end definitely gave me Shark Lapena vibes and I loved it. Brava!!!

This story was yet again brilliant and i loved the characters of Arrow and Morgan. We didn't need to know the finer details of what happened to Morgan as we could guess the horror of what happened. Arrow was just amazing and very patient, caring and a beautiful person. Bring on the next one.

What the... just what the? Yeah I didn't quite see that coming..weird yes but a murderer? No more I don't want to spoil it for you.
Arrow and his team rescue a child and didn't expect to find a missing woman too.
I am so pleased with how the author handled Morgan's trauma, I'm sick of women instantly recovering and jumping in the sack with the hero. This young woman has such an inner strength, you'll be hoping for her recovery. Arrow is a wonderful guy, caring and patient. Such a wonderful couple they will make.
I can't wait for the next book in this series with hopefully a glimpse into this couple's future.
