This is one of the few Le Fans stories I have read. It is what I expected: strange, creepy and describes why you should always shy away from green tea.

A wonderful short story: mysterious, compelling, and interesting. I love the 19th century view of psychology and the spirit realm. Le Fanu's writing is beautifully controlled and a pleasure to read. I'm really glad I picked this up. It's not in the Carmilla league but it's well worth reading.

What a complex novella. He thinks he is “possessed” or ill but in some way it sounds more like schizophrenia.

this is such a short novella but i think it is so important for its time. it brings awarness to those who suffer from hallucinations. of course it has some questionable and wrong opinions abt the illness but overall a powerful take on the subject.
slow at first but i will definitely read more of this author work. he amazed me. i was expecting something so different
