I wish I could give this book 5 stars, but the ending ruined it for me a bit. I don‘t want to spoil anything, so I‘m just gonna say it felt very rushed to be „normative cookie cuter perfect“ when it already was without what was happening. It felt thrown in at the last minute and the timeline between the book ending felt too short.

The rest of the story was lovely and I enjoyed it a lot. The characters are so cute, with a chosen family that feels very cozy and fun.

For me it was 5 stars, until the ending.

I can see why this is so popular. It’s very GenZ friendly. I liked how healthy they are about communication, but I was pretty casual about finishing it.
I can see this being a movie or a series.

I wish so desperately I could get back the two weeks it took me to even get this far in the book. It was nothing but whiny, obnoxious characters and cringey writing. I literally could not care less about these characters problems they were so annoying. There was less than an ounce of actual plot and the spicy stuff in between wasn't even worth it tbh. Ultimately DNFd because I couldn't get past the constant body-checking from the main character. Save your time and money.

Worthy of the hype for the smut content alone. I had a silly goofy fun time and will be reading every other book in this series.

not seeing Anastasia’s solo career is a miss on the authors part. She gains all of this confidence via her man but it would have been so much more interesting to see her do it for a career that is entirely reliant upon herself. The public non-consensual kiss was visceral to read and if it *needed* to be included, it should have happened with more than 20 odd pages left in the book to see some of Anastasia’s growth and processing which we were granted for much less severe plot points.

For the first 100-ish pages I did have to reeeeally push through and I wanted to dnf it quite a couple of times. I found it hard to get into but I kept on reading and it did get better eventually. (could have been about 100 pages shorter tho and it would have been fine). But I am now glad that I did finish it because it wasn't as bad as I thought it would end up being at the start. I did end up really liking Anastasia and Nate and their relationship. Cute story but nothing super special.
