Great world building, loved the different Courts and powers as a concept, mixed with the Elves being exiled. Cool character arcs, some twists and turns & I loved the the FMC was never fully clueless or found answers to the questions I had quite quickly, and there didn’t seem to be many plot holes at all which was great. Good spice and funny parts too. Loved the ending.

This is the first book I've read from this author and I can safely say thus far I am a fan, and am looking forward to the continuing of this series.

Through this novel we follow an Elf named Karys who is on a mission of hate and destruction. Ready to burn the world to the ground for her kind and their cause. A war against the God's seems like child's play, until her groups rebellious acts toss her in the center of it all. With the new path opened up to her she decides she will ask the God of Fire to be apart of his court though her intentions are less than pure. While he agrees and opens the door to the middle realm where he and his other Middle God's reside Karys begins to see new light and her cause she was once hell bent on has become less black and white. The more time she spends in the Middle Realm the more she begins to understand and question. Now a while new battle is at play, one she may or may not be prepared to fight.

The author takes us on Karys adventure and slowly begins to map out truth from lie, enemy from ally, and two very confusing yet beautiful worlds take shape. The authors descriptions transport you into their worlds and through your minds eye you'll be awe struck at what they have dreamt up. The twists and turns will leave you breathless and on the verge of a possible breakdown as your heart sinks and swims with their characters.

The development of each character is precise and present, with layers upon layers of depth you can't help but love (and hate) them. They are relatable with true strengths and weaknesses. Even the side characters get glimpses into their lives past and present, leaving nothing unturned for their reader. That being said the author is able to weave secrets and deception into these characters that will leave your mind reeling and possibly turning the pages backward to see what you may have missed!

This is a story of struggle, lust, and a slow burn love for the ages. I certainly recommend getting your hands in it when it comes out if not for the romance and meddling God's than for Moth the most adorable, loveable, must have pet sidekick!

Now I know you are wandering why the 4.5 rating when I rave about this novel to and this is because of my own personal issue. The worldbuilding....

The worldbuilding is beautiful but at times very lengthy, wordy, and despite the picture being painted... for me it's boring. Through the first few chapters the author is working hard to paint pictures of where they had taken you and I am just not a huge fan of the word vomit. It gets a bit repetitive and much for my personal tastes and took me a bit to get through it. That being said once through the initial worldbuilding the story takes on a much faster pace and really captivated me. Thus the 4.5 rating.
