This was hard for me to read because I have the same name as the main character.  Thus, I was the main character and the story was very violent and I was not having a good time.  Almost DNF but persevered in the hope of a redemption arc.  However, the end was very confusing and slightly disappointing and I feel like I almost need a group analysis (not a bad thing, but slightly annoying because I just want to have fun).
Anyway, it was a bit convoluted and confusing and it takes a bit of the story to understand what is going on with the plot.  :)

Dark Matter meets your typical serial killer thriller in this clever story about a young woman being stalked across the multiverse and the reporter who moves across worlds trying to save her. Very entertaining!

I like multiverse books and this had interesting aspects of that. I don’t like reading about obsessive men who kill women when they don’t get their way.

I read this fast because it was so weird and made me so curious, but I ended up feeling like it came apart at the seams and then fell a bit flat at the end because of that. It started to seem like it was trying too hard to explain the worlds and create some order instead of just letting it be super weird and mysterious. I’m writing this review a couple weeks later and I remember the concepts of the book that I liked, but honestly don’t even recall how it ended - it just didn’t matter enough to me to retain that part.

max barry is the greatest author in the world at catching you from the onset. finally, he sticks a landing. couldn't put this one down. closer to a 5 than a 4.

Fast paced story with a complicated plot that reminded me a lot of the Blake Crouch books about the multiverse.

Not as satisfying as I would have hoped in the long run but still a page turner that I enjoyed while I was in it.
