A solid 4 and a half stars. I didn't connect to the villain/conflict as much as the previous two novels, but still a lovely addition to the Ingo series. I'm sad that there is only one book left before Saphy and Conor's stories are over. Full review to come.

It was a good read... the whole thing with Kraken was a little weird and the fact that Connor and Faro both managed to stay alive in the Deep when, previous, Faro hadn't been able to go into the Deep to save Sapphire. I mean, the whale probably had something to do with that.

Yet another really good book from the Ingo series, this one involving sea monsters and more of the seapeople. The the kraken isn't described as I thought.

There are the things that make me wanna read the next one, like what's up with necklace Conner got from Elvira will effect him. And will Sapphire and Conner stay in Ingo? Or will they stay in both worlds?

The whole Ingo series is definitely one of my favourites. I’ve reread the books several times and I’d do anything to read them for the first time again. These stories really dove me deep into the fantastical world of Ingo and made me feel like I was really experiencing what the protagonists were feeling- which is absolutely everything I could ask for in books.
Therefore I would rate the series as a whole as 5 stars.

A very good modern fantasy novel. Open-ended - I'm hoping to see more in this series.
