This is a dark, gritty, and engaging story that begins with the murder of a young woman found in the woods, naked and surrounded by signs of a strange ritual with occultist overtones. This falls into the lap of Holger Munch and his team to unravel the increasingly complex web that surrounds the murder while trying to manage Mia Kruger, keeping her unofficially involved while she fights her own demons. This is a dark, twisted crime thriller that draws on the modern world, as well as the traditional drivers of power and greed, in a disturbing and chilling way.

This Nordic thriller is a winner for me! My first Samuel Bjork book and it certainly be my last.

Geweldig boek

• (spoiler)
