Alessandra has a plan to woo the Shadow King, but not for love, but for the kingdom, HER kingdom or at least it will be once her plan is complete.

There's just one tiny problem, her past. But she's not about to let her past love interest ruin her shot at being queen.

This is a story of cunning, ambition, betrayals, and love.

Alessandra is one of my favorite female leads. She is Ruthless from the beginning and isn't apologetic about who she truly is. Throughout the book she still goes through a significant transformation, but one that doesn't take away her ambitious nature.

The young adult romance scenes are beautifully written and flow well within the storyline. As I read I found myself unable to stop smiling or stop reading. This book is a must read.

I so enjoyed reading about Allessandra - a fiery independent murdress, and a shadow king brought together.

I loved the story and loved the romance and could happily read an entire series about these characters!

This book is literally awful. I have no idea why it is so well loved and popular. The morals are horrible

the main character literally murders someone and is praised for it

all throughout the book the main chararacter is encoraged to use her body to manipulate people and can we talk about the plot!! Where the heck is it?? There are so many conflicts that come up and they are set up to be the main conflict of the book but then they are solved fairly easily and do not mess up anything for the mc. Anyway the book is bad the romance in it is worse and I really did not like it. I do appreciate the hard work that went into this book and I guess it wasn't for me but a lot of other people liked it.
