I loved this so much! 😭 Fukumaru and Kanda are absolutely precious. They have true love right there 🥺

I don’t know why I was putting off picking up this manga because I had a feeling it would be everything I wanted it to. Indeed, it was. We just follow this older gentleman who is lonely—kids are no longer at home and his wife has passed—so he decides to adopt a cat. His eyes land on Fukumaru, a cat who had been at the shelter for a year, and he loves him immediately. Fukumaru is not the “typical” cute cat, but Kanda loves him exactly as he is 💖

It’s all just so sweet! Including seeing Fukumaru be hesitant at first, too scared to believe his luck, and slowly realize Kanda isn’t going anywhere. Kanda just wants to give him all the love unconditionally 🥺

Also. Kanda is the perfect depiction of what it’s like to adopt your first cat. All his reactions felt so relatable to me, and the way he splurges on Fukumaru is just so sweet.

All in all, this manga made me feel warm and soft inside.

Cute, cozy, with hints of nostalgia and loneliness. Definitely will continue
