I love this series so much. Possibly my favourite love story of all time. 10/10 would recommend. I didn't want to read it at first due to really bad reviews, but I decided to give it a shot and I surely regretted waiting so long to read them.

I read this book series back in December and found that it was a lot like Twilight and all about sex. I just finished reading it again and I find that it is an amazingly sweet love story that carries the difficulties that everyday people deal with. How to deal with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. It's not like Twilight. I find it's meaning runs much deeper.

I went through these books so quickly, that I didn’t leave time to do individual reviews of each book, instead I am doing a review of all three read together. I first heard about his trilogy on Good Morning America, and thought it would be on my future reading list. Then a friend said she had them and loved them and loaned the trilogy to me. My friend stated that they were along the lines of Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty trilogy, but I find that to be a gross misstatement. The Fifty Shades Trilogy does have intense sex scenes with Dominant/Submissive tones, but unlike the Sleeping Beauty trilogy there is an actual story and character growth. The characters of Christen Grey and Ana Steele are very likable and wanting to get to know them better kept me turning the pages.

Yes, I took the plunge and read it. I was on my way to Thailand and picked it up at LAX. It took me 8 hours to finish the first book and I was hooked. It's not ALL 'mommy porn' which the media has dubbed this genre. It's NOT all about the steamy sex scenes. It is a love story at its core. Yes, a realistic and fucked up love story but nevertheless it. is. a. love story. Give it a chance..it is worth it.

When I first read this, I liked it. But then I got older and read actual good books and I got that this is horrible. Then I saw the movie... And I lost faith in humanity all together. SIGH. I don't get why so many great book bloggers love this movie or this book. I really don't get it.

Can't stop re-reading them even though the writing is bad. Pretty sure it's a sickness!
