It's an essay, sure, and not a easy read for those who don't know well the Middle Earth history but the issue with it is that there's not enough informations that can't be found in the official Tolkien's writings and the author makes some wild assumptions on the history that seems quite, well, wild. It's not much canon, so to say. I appreciate the passion and effort, but neither is enough to make up for the dislike those assumptions generated in me. At least it's a very short read though.
