Okay Mr. October 🥵 This was a short and sweet small town, childhood best friends to lovers story on KU. There was one spice scene at the end, and it was overall cute and a good Fall/Halloween read.🎃🍂

Let's dive deeper into this friends-to-lovers novella. This is also a teacher × teacher trope which is new for me (and tbh, I am very excited to read this)

• bestest of best friends
• pranks because it's Halloween!
• mischievous MMC, gullible yet amazing FMC
• FMC in love with MMC (duh) and vice versa(again duh)
• pining....lots and lots of pining from both the sides because they feel that the other doesn't feel the same way and they wouldn't wanna ruin their friendship
• the last chapter had me feeling like

This novella was a dual pov friends to lovers trope. However, you never saw the build up of them going to lovers. Once the confession of their feelings were made for each other they immediately were physically intimate. I think if the author would’ve had the build up be mentioned more of their childhood friendship it would’ve made more sense to me or rated higher.
