twisty thought-provoking thriller. Almost feels like a movie script, some of the chapters are so visual, and it could make a great movie.

This book had me hooked like a fish on a line. It managed to navigate the tricky waters of sci-fi without leaving me lost in space. The storyline had me captivated, and boredom was nowhere in sight. Sure, there were a few predictable moments, but who cares when you're having this much fun? If you're new to sci-fi and looking to dip your toes in the intergalactic pool, this book is your interstellar ticket!

Wow I am in complete awe of this book. Not only was it written so well and exciting but every so often it made me stop and think and reflect on my own decisions and truly wonder what infinite possibilities there are. 4.5 stars, loved this book so much. This is definitely one of those books you carry with you.

Dark Matter started off very intriguing but the big reveal led it down a heavily treaded path and at some point I was afraid it wouldn't have anything original to say. That fear was soon put to rest with the introduction of an interesting idea I haven't come across before (trying to avoid spoilers).

this is by far one of the worst books published in the last 5 years. first of all the author(cheaping the word) seems to be alergic to paragraphs.

secondaly, it is a copy cat of 2004 movie Primer with elements from Coherence as well.

all of the people whom he acknowledges in the end should never work in publishing again.

a goodreads score of 4.x is abs fake and it is shamefull that other sci fi authors are unread.

this will never work as a movie. Hollywood agents are far more inteligent to make this shit into a visual spectecle.

iam guessing his next book will be Looper meets the matrix

Well, this isn't exactly poetry and the characters are a bit shallow. There's this whole side *almost* romance in the middle that I felt like was more a writer fantasizing than necessary to the plot or in character. It ultimately goes nowhere and I was relieved for it.

But you can always count on Blake Crouch when you're looking to put down a book FAST lol. He reminds me a lot of a modern day Michael Crichton that comes up with these wild sci fi thought experiments that are just impossible to put down. The science falls apart if you think about it too hard, and I'm left wishing I had a book that explored the same concepts in more depth, but I'm grateful for the thrill ride and fast read. Writing a book so addictive despite the glaring shortcomings is a skill all on its own that I suppose deserves celebration as much as anything else.
