bro I cried and will cry when I think about it. BUT Ayo this book went 0 to a 100 real quick. It was so good tho. I would classify this as a thriller to be honest. It was so dark no joke.

Also L.O.R.D.S gen 2 when?
I need to see how their kids become Lords

Anyone that knows me, knows that I love a good dark romance… I was head over heels with The Ritual and even reread it to start the series again, so I was excited on reading this one… what the actual fuck? I mean I see the potential that Sinner had, but to me, he had so much rage to him that we never saw the potential or who he actually was. Elli, I’m so sorry for everything that happened to you sweetie, you deserved so much more. 

I can say that, I’m impressed in the way the author wrote the scenes and treated all of the trauma… but still, for me, it’s a 2 star and 5 spice cause hello hard triggers

Omfg this book was so frustrating. Girlie had no self respect at ANY POINT and literally every traumatic situation just ended w basically rapey sex between the MC's. Literally everyone sucked and if I could've I would've dnf'ed at 20% LOL also 0 character development from ANYONE it was literally like reading a Wattpad book from 2014 but w excessive sex scenes that weren't even that great. Anyways kinda sad bc there seemed to be potential for a good book

This book was all over the place, and I thought the plot of the first one was chaotic. Also the sexual content in this one was so violent and the SA was so heavy it was uncomfortable. I sped through the last 1/2 of the book just to finish it. Like every male took every chance they could to actually SA the heroine or attempt to SA her. There is dark romance and then there is whatever this is

(kind of) a lot of the book is just smut which I mean if that’s what you want then this is the book for you! However there were many times where it seems like the plot was put on the back burner for the sake of the sex and I think that’s the part I didn’t enjoy. Don’t get me wrong, the spice was spicy but I felt like there were many times I would ask myself “how did we get here” because there were areas when a story beat would happen and then it was just sex for who knows how many pages to the point I kind of forgot what was happening. Not horrible but The Ritual is much better than this one.
