So incredibly sad. I also loved that the ending was a little unresolved… it was wrapped up enough to give readers a sense that the book was ending, but not enough that you couldn’t use your imagination to finish the book however you needed in the moment.

Complex relational literary fiction that had the thrill / draw of a mystery coupled with the connection to the characters that I oftentimes find in a romance novel. I loved the multiple perspectives and felt like I developed a relationship with all the main characters and came to know them as both their individual selves and as a group of family / friends; so much so that at the end, I too could not unblur the lines of "good" and "bad" and "right" and "wrong."

Okay on audio - probably would have preferred to read vs. listen.

This was a character study about a marriage that is all the sudden in shambles because Flora finds out her husband is having an affiar. You get to know the characters and their business. It was just not for me.

Good premise, poor execution.

Not rating for now.

This is the type of book where I cannot articulate what makes it so good or why I loved it so much, only that I absolutely adored every minute of reading. This is easily going to be one of my top books of the year.
