A short, easy to grasp and very informative book about the science revolution in 1700- 1800s. It's an subject that I'm sure can be very dull and dusty but Lawrence M Principe made it engaging and entertaining to read and learn more about, just what a non fiction should do

An excellent and surprisingly thorough overview of the scientific revolution. The book gave me a new appreciation for the interplay between science, philosophy, and religion. In places the book devolves into a rapid succession of dates and names. The book is at its best when it focusses on the evolution of a concept and how many different ideas from different fields combined together.

A must read for anyone with even a passing interest in the history of science.

This book does exactly what it says on the cover - it's a short introduction to the Scientific Revolution with a good overview of the main ideas, people, and events. The bibliographies are thorough. This is a good starting point to research on the Scientific Revolution.
