I was very hesitant in starting the Lord of the Rings as a I have previously read the hobbit and did not like it. This however, as an audiobook with Andy Serkis narrating, is a beautifully wonderful adventure. If I had physically read it I may have found it tiresome as there is a lot of long walks spanning chapters with many many songs, but Serkis’s exciting narration allowed me to envision the world better. He even does imitations of his fellows LOTR actors when speaking their characters, Legolas sounds exactly like Orlando Bloom.
