A great alternative take on the series, however, the show's problems are still reflected in the book. An overwhelming desire for everyone to sleep together and the unwillingness to listen to other people's perspective and be understanding at many points throughout the book. Whit gaping wide plot holes throughout the series.

Either watch the show or read the book. Don't do both. The story has been absolutely butchered. the only thing is common is that there are 100 teenegers sent to earth and the main chick is named Clark.

This was a lot different to the tv show, and whilst I love the tv show, I still managed to adore this even more than the show. Glass was unexpected but a great addition, and I found that even though Octavia wasn’t what I was expecting, I loved her even more than I did on the show. I think the fact that she was a small 14 year old girl who was very flawed hit close to home in a good way. My only issue is the cliffhanger at the end. Thats just RUDE. Like, don’t drop a bomb and walk away.

This book was completely amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the thrilling plot twists, all of the characters, and the way the book captivated me, but by far my favorite aspect was the writing style. Morgan's beautiful use of figures of speech is exactly what I love to read. And holy crap, that ending!!! I'd better start Day 21 immediately!!

For The Atlantic's #1book140 April theme. Not really feeling this one because teenagers are not my favorite, but it could still surprise me. Who knows.

UPDATE: Welp, it surprised me, all right ... mostly in how much I wanted to smack Wells in the face. Does he come across this poorly in the TV series? Not sure if I'll continue reading the sequels, but I may marathon the show over the summer out of curiosity.
