I had to speed the audio up to 1.25 because the reader was really slow. I enjoyed this one more than the first. I will definitely be reading #3 in 2019.

I actually thought this was better than The Alienist. Stevie was a great narrator, he brought some light heartedness that this novel really needed, giving the victim profile. It bothers me that the Ana (sub) plot was kind of forgotten while in Ballston Spa, but that's being a bit nitpicky.

This installment was okay, but I didn't enjoy it near as much as The Alienist. Having Stevie as narrator was somewhat disappointing. I look forward to the next installment, as I adore all these characters immensely, especially Sara and Tom..
