This book had NO reason being 800+ pages. I think this is the book where I truly started to lose it when it comes to Hardin and Tessa's relationship. Like, the whole first part of the book is them fighting over Tessa moving to Seattle. Hardin refuses to go with her for basically no reason at all (he’s realizing he’s a loser with no life accomplishments, and can’t stand a woman having a brighter future than him) Then halfway through the book he just changes his mind, and decides to move to Seattle!?!?! So what the hell were the 400 pages for? God, just thinking about how Hardin was in this book makes my blood boil. This book truly shows how Anna Todd has actually no idea what to do with the characters and just creates the most dumb and unnecessary situations for plot material. Like, the fact that Tessa almost got raped by Stef?!?!? FUCK HESSA

I read this book series twice in my life: Once as a One-Direction-obsessed preteen and then again when the After movie came out and I wanted to remember what the original book series was like. I read them on Wattpad, so I'm talking ORIGINAL original (mainly because I would not spend my money on this trash). I have a million and one reasons why I don't like this book series, but I don't want to go through them all right now or this would be a very long review.

I reread this series purely for the nostalgia, and I did not enjoy most of it. Yes, at times the characters were loveable and the storylines were interesting. But the series is riddled with bad writing, odd pacing, plot holes, repetitive storylines, etc. It's really not worth reading.

I decided to read this book as I enjoyed the first two books and I wanted to know what was going to happen after the events of the second book.

This book still follows 18-year-old Tessa who is about to make the biggest change of her life. But with her making this change, everything else seems to be changing as well. New information about her family and then Hardin throws everything they knew before in doubt and makes Tessa choose between her future or the present with Hardin. Tessa is losing her control on her life. Nothing is what she thought it was. Not her friends, her family. The one person she should be able to rely on is furious when he discovers what she’s been hiding. This is set in Washington with a trip to England again. It is a contemporary romance new adult book.

My favourite bits of this book were Hardin’s chapters. I liked the additional point of views within this book. It was a good insight to see how he was feeling and what he was doing. I love Hardin’s humour; I think I relate to it more with him being British and being able to picture the British accent whilst he is talking. However, this book drove me nuts. The number of chapters there is in this book is insane and was annoying. All whilst reading this, I’m getting frustrated with Tessa, Hardin and Zed. Obviously, I know this is just the storyline of the book, but I really wanted to bang their heads together. I also know why I’m single. I know this isn’t a healthy relationship but my emotions in this book when from wanting to drag Tessa away or from them to kiss and make up. I feel like I need a therapy session from this especially after the rollercoaster of emotions. Plus the anger I felt towards Hardin, Steph and Christian was unhealthy.

I shouldn’t have liked this book as much as I did. Purely because of the anger I felt. However, I really did enjoy the storyline and I’m annoyed that Anna Todd has left it on another cliff hanger because now I need to read the fourth book to find out what happens.
