To be completely honest with you I don’t know what I was expecting when I started this story. So as far as if it full fields my expectations I can’t say nothing certain. However, I am glad I gave this book a chance after a couple of moments where I thought I was too angry or sad to continue. Because in this novel I found a family that was torn apart due to the ego, the envy, the jealousy and the lack of communication. It was incredible and heartbreaking to see how much I could relate certain thoughts and experiences to my own family. Joël Dicker is out on a mission to wonder, astonish and amuse people as he breaks our hearts in the process and I’m here for every second of it.
The only reason why this book didn’t get 5 stars is because I just couldn’t forgive some things therefore, the ending left me with a kind of bitter aftertaste.
