My heart broke for Beauregard all through this book. Trying to do right and can't get ahead and finally having to go back to that life. My heart absolutely broke when the baby boy got shot. I'm glad he was on the mend at the end of the book. Also glad to hear the oldest baby wouldn't be charged for shooting those men. I wonder if Beau stayed or went on and chased that fast life. He needs to sit his ass down and tend to his family! Too old to be out there in them streets. I definitely teared up at the times he remembered his Father and his last conversation with his mother who was a piece of work.

I have to give kudos also to the narrator Adam Lazarre-White who I know as Nathan from Young and the Restless. Love him so much and he did a phenomenal job. 

I swear at this point I'd pay to read S.A. grocery list. That man can write!!!

Second book of S.A. Cosby's that I've read. He has knocked it out of the park again. Lots of violence so not for the faint of heart. Loved Bug's character and his relationship with his wife, Kia. One man's path to find himself, get ahead and ultimately get revenge. Loved it. Great audio book, the narrator was fabulous.

Intense and gripping. I really felt for Bug and was rooting for him the entire time. That’s what I really like about Cosby’s writing and characters. These are people who commit intense crimes and are flawed, but they’re complex and Cosby deals with them in all these intricate and interesting ways.
