The plot twists in the beginning were fantastic and compelling. However, they set up a momentum that the book couldn't keep up with, so it became least captivating and more predictable towards the end.

Aspects of this novel which I enjoyed were: the fast pace; the strong women characters, the sections with the dead father; and the poignant ending.

Aspects I disliked were: the level of violence was ridiculously melodramatic and on occasions laughable (sorry!) - this is no Silence of the Lambs, that's for sure. The plot was highly unlikely, and also sometimes made me giggle with disbelief. The villain was very cliched and one-dimensional, and there were far too many coincidences.

On the whole then, not a great success and basically an average crime genre pot-boiler.

This book was graphic, violent, and very disturbing. It's taken me a long time to finish it, as it definitely warranted a much needed relief. I was horrified...appalled.

I did not expect this book to be anywhere near as violent as I did when I checked it out on audiobook. Within the first chapter, I discovered that this was not going to be a light read in any sense of the word.

I can't say I loved or enjoyed the story. Nobody could actually love what happens throughout this book. BUT! I do not at all regret my decision to read it.

This book is a powerful story and an eye-opener. While events in real life may not mimic the story in it's entirety, this story points to the truth behind disappearing girls and what potentially happens to them.

Each horrifying twist sent chills through me. This book is not for the faint of heart.

This book was so hurtful to read and it pains me to know there are actual cruel people out there that will harm others just for the sake of it. It was a tough book to read but overall I was hooked and hoping for some type of justice.

I'm absolutely in shock at the true, real, and raw horror that is this book. This will stay with me for a long time, leaving a lasting impression. I found myself looking over my shoulder and making sure the “masked man” wasn’t coming for me LOL. Completely worth the read!
