One of these days there will be a contemporary thriller that doesn’t revolve around horrendous r*pe.
This is purely shock value and torture p*rn. Literally.
I hate that I let BookTok recommend this to me.

wowwww this book went crazy. it’s definitely more on the horror side of a thriller, so be warned. much more graphic and gruesome than i was expecting but it accomplished that shock factor. i audibly gasped multiple times.
the sisterhood is so real and so relatable  — i loved the familial aspects of this book.
i can’t say much without giving it away, but i definitely recommend if you love a twisty thriller and have a strong stomach.

I feel like this is the best thriller I’ve read in a while. Like a thriller that actually had twists and turns. This would make a great movie! A times the main character made me mad, but it was forgivable.

This book was well written and the pacing really drew me in, but it was so horrifically graphic that I almost DNF'd on multiple occasions.

This book was GORY for sure. I understand why people are upset about it being marketed as a thriller instead of a horror. I personally think the trigger warnings listed on Storygraph are adequate and the book shouldn't be reviewed badly because you failed to read them. Overall, this book grabbed me and threw me for a loop. I couldn't trust anyone and it made my two hour flight delay much more enjoyable. I thought at first that the dad's letter POV was annoying but I soon realized that the letters served a purpose.
Bro is a PSYCHOPATH AND DESERVED TO DIE!! Fucking wild.
