What an epic conclusion

When I first started this trilogy, Santiago was a beast, the story having a real beauty and the Beast vibe, but with a twist. He was so angry and hell bent on revenge. Ivy was this young, naive college student who was given to Santiago to marry. She never understood what was happening. At the start, Santiago was a brute. He had blamed Ivy's family for events that happened in the past, and he wanted everyone in her family to suffer. He would take his revenge, and he would make it hurt. And he did. There were times when I thought he was never going to redeem himself, doing things that would hopefully make Ivy break. But she was strong. She looked past what he was doing and looked past his features and saw him. As the story progresses you start to see Santiago for what he really was; a dark tortured soul that never knew love, who knew only coldness and pain, someone who was so incredibly blinded by anger, rage and revenge that he almost missed what was right in front of him. It was amazing to what Santiago grow so much through the pages and the way he would have internal battles with himself, not knowing or understanding what he was feeling. How he would turn to Antonia or Marcus for guidance. His transformation left a tear in my eye, and watching him at the end was beautiful. What he and Ivy went through as well was nothing short of gut-wrenching. They both fought hard, and in the end, they finally got there.

This trilogy was perfection. I was hooked 5 chapters in the 1st book and couldn’t put them down. I think this is my new favorite series (with the Maddest series a close 2nd and I LOVED that series so much). I gave it 4 stars because it wasn’t as exciting as the first 2 books and it lacked something not sure what but

Santiago was still an asshole for most of the book and all of a sudden he was completely in love with Ivy. Where was the much needed grovelling, I ask? I am drained.

This whole series has many feelings inside. You can feel anger, rage, betrayal, sadness, doubt, even sweetness. Every feeling is well-written. I could feel so much in this series. However, the moment of truth of Santiago’s family is a bit bland. It’s too sudden for the main conflict of the story. From the build-up, I expected more intensity for this.

Resurrection of the Heart, the third and final book in the trilogy of Sovereign Sons by a.
Zavarelli and natasha knight.
These two authors have created a perfect dark romance for this genre lovers, a scarred
anti-hero, a shy heroine, family vendetta and secret societies.
- you see it hits all the check marks to make this one of the top most series of the year.
The third book, takes off from the precarious position (cliffhanger) The 2nd book left us in;
From the beginning, the high adrenaline and emotions we see between all the characters make it
instantly grasping.
Santiago showed exceptional character growth and all the other characters and their
interactions, especially one Morena turned out to be one of my fav characters.
This book was a sweeter than 1st two books but given the situation and the growth these two
characters had, they deserved all the sweetness desperation , making the steam level
