Did not like. Very simplified. Glossary makes no sense. No citations. I think it reads very young even for a target audience of six-year-olds and it feels very sloppy to have no context or backmatter beyond notes from the author and illustrator.

Absolutely fabulous illustrations! I knew a bit about Ruby Bridges from school, but I like the first-person narrative from her 6-year-old self rather than as an adult reflecting upon the situation. Really shows how she perceived the whole situation. A great introduction to her story!

Loved this first person account of a pivotal moment in public school and American history.
