This was a rather interesting read. I enjoyed Amberlin and her Papa Herb. I even felt for Rose at times. This so called "Christian" community has a great many undercurrents that are all coming into play. I enjoyed watching Amberlin's gifts develop, and seeing Hannah's growth as well. This book doesn't stop there, because there is also an asylum for the mentally ill. The new nurse is working to see what she can do to help some of the patients in this facility. Is everyone in there who they say they are? The evil shown was truly evil. Destinies need to be fulfilled, and wrongs righted. That sounds easy, or is it?

My only issues with this book is that it left me with a few more unanswered questions than I wanted. I didn't have a problem with the lead into the next book, but other questions that are left open ended make me a wee bit sad. Even so, that is just me. My copy came as an ARC in exchange for my honest review and nothing more.
