Once again, this series hits! I read this book in just a few hours, and didn't even want to put it down to eat dinner!

This book starts out with Harper dealing with the consequences of making a potion and witchcraft that turn her brother, Connor, into a wolf. Now, he stays on the bayou with the wolves, still chasing down Cass, the love of his life. Except now, there's more danger than ever. Tate has disappeared after a trip to talk to the Taino tribe, and Antoine has grown distant, Keziah's call now loud and clear. As he changes, Harper realizes she underestimated the vicious vampire's hold on her husband. Not only that but Callie appears, Connor's half-sister.

So much happens in this one. Harper deals with more heartbreak. She also begins to learn more about the mysterious reasons she can't be compelled and why it seems Keziah both desires her blood but also seems scared of her. Is there more to her than meets the eye?

With new secrets and revelations, Bayou Rose moved the plot along. But it also kind of feels like we're going in circles with the villain. And the constant hot and cold with Antoine and Harper is driving me crazy. Not really feeling the chemistry with Jeremy Jeramiah and *redeacted*, either. Though I do love the addition of *redacted*. Please for the love of all things supernatural, give Tate more to do than stand around like he's Stefan Salvatore. We need new things to be angsty about. We need a new villain. Regardless of all that, the Nightgarden Saga continues to be as addicting as ever.

Literally everybody for the entire book was like:
