Gay’s memoir does not shy away from talking about her trauma in detail.readwithinna's review against another edition

Spoiler
as she relayed to readers the aftermath of her SA and how she worked through it by building a fortress out of her own body.Personally, Chapter 57 (tw: eating disorder) hit too close to home. I read each word and felt a lump forming in my throat. How did she know? Is she just like me? Am I not alone?
How does one even rate a memoir? How does one person rate another person's art when it consists of them baring their entire soul to you? 5 stars, inspired work.
