What happens?
Kim and Wyatt are old lovers, turned enemies when they both believe the other wronged them in someway.
Kim's boss offers an insane incentive to stay working to him and unfortunately to get that bonus she has to never fail him. Something she has prided herself on never doing. When a bet between her boss and Wyatt's friend ends up with Kim being assigned to help Wyatt for the month she resigns herself to finding Wyatt a suitable date for his ex's wedding.
Wyatt is hurting from his failed marriage, trying to raise his daughter and protect her from the disappointment that is her mother. He needs a good date to help him keep up that image for Vi's sake and unfortunately that leaves Kim to help him find the date when all he wants his Kim herself!!

Not a standout but a cute second chance, lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers reunion romance filled with misunderstandings, oozing chemistry and good banter. I will point out that during the duration of this rekindled romance, the majority of the scenes were pretty predictable and it lacked that something something to completely win me over. Overall it was a good read but definitely fell in the mediocre pile.

I’m not going to lie, my best friend begged me to read this and I put it off for a very long time. It’s not my usual kind of book. But the quality of writing was surprisingly good and I found myself enjoying the sass and relationships between the characters.

I understand that the author has built a world here but I sometimes struggled to follow with all of the names and branching off of multiple side characters. There were more and more every chapter.

Plot twists weren’t very twisty, but the book still entertained and I did enjoy the story despite going into this absolutely certain that I would despise it.

REVIEW DURING READING SMALL SPOILERS MAY BE AHEAD I PROMISE NO MAJOR ONES
After I finished reading review: 3.5/4 stars
October 2nd, 2020
I just started reading this book and let me just say I don't like her mom. Not at all. Kim's mom is just something else. I think what Kim said about Wyatt is a misunderstanding because he literally said the opposite of what she said. Honestly, right now I think it was the traitor's former best friend that did it. Something is going on here. If he truly did that I wouldn't like him, ever. He didn't though and I'm going to figure out what's the deal here.

The next day...Okay, I would have walked out too but I mean chocolate...It's tempting. Very tempting.
Wyatt doesn't seem like a bad guy I don't believe that he did that. I have a feeling this is all a trick from his ex-wife.

Later.....I love the dog. I could seriously see his tail wagging back and forth so cute. I'm starting to really like his daughter. She's sweet and I honestly feel bad for her because of her situation.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know they were best friends.

I knew it I freaking knew she was behind it!!
Also, Wyatt is so sweet and just perfect.

The next day.....Okay I finished it and I honestly really liked it and I was going to give it 4 stars but I didn't like the build-up at the end. I did like the ending but the build-up wasn't that exciting but I still think it was pretty good. Plus Vi and Wyatt are awesome.
I think I'm going to read Kim's friend Jo's story too.

Don't trust "gifts" from a cat ...

I've read plenty of stories like this where the hero and heroine has a young love but were pulled apart by others. Kim and Wyatt each had their hearts broken by the other or did they?! It's not an unheard of concept for gold diggers and pervy old guys in the "upper class". While I think their feelings were pure in high school, I didn't feel a great connection as adults. I felt for Vi, enjoyed the friends and the ending was sweet. Sweet book overall, just nothing that will stick with me.

I enjoyed Kim and Wyatt's story. The story was well-written.

Kim and Wyatt had history, but because of miscommunication, they parted. Years later, Wyatt's in need for a fake date to bring to his ex-wife's wedding. The more time they spend together, the more quickly things move from enemies to friends who tolerate each other to something more.

Not much hate factor in this one, I guess that's why they're frenemies. This is full of humour and an entertaining second chance romance.

Sexy Single Dad Steals Her Heart!

As usual, Nadia Lee hits it out of the park! I’ve been waiting for Kim’s story and this didn’t disappoint. Same insane Pryce antics and even crazier supporting characters.

* This is my 30th book by Nadia Lee

Kim is on the cusp of her big five year bonus, if she can complete one last task of obtaining a statue for her boss.

Wyatt Westland is a billionaire tech genius, with a ten year old daughter, Vi and a crazy ex wife. Wyatt is also the guy who broke Kim’s heart more than ten years ago, he is not the kind of distraction she needs. Until she realizes Wyatt may also be able to help her get the statue for her boss, and he could help by attending his ex wife’s wedding.

This book was cute but very predictable. There was some fun banter, and other characters in the book. The one thing I didn’t like was the backstory. The heartbreak that caused years of damage for both Wyatt and Kim could have been solved with one conversation more than 10 years ago. But it also didn’t stop me from finishing it in a day!
