Reminiscent of Ender's Game meets Hunger Games this future dystopian world features children strictly segregated according to mental ability with the elite being sent to posh satellites and the less fortunate often struggling on earth. Of course all is not as perfect as it appears with hints of both war and a deep seated conspiracy at the highest levels. Jada and Rowen both need to graduate on top and are poised to be enemies - but do they need to be?

This is the first book in a series and as such spends most of its time setting the stage for what is to come. The world that unfolds and the characters that populate it promise a rich and engrossing story with plenty of teen angst and coming of age challenges. It kind of ended just as things were getting interesting but not a cliff hanger.
