Because You Are Mine is a short story part of the Moments in Time Anthology. I love Madeline's books so when I found out she wrote a short shifter romance story, I didn't wait and read it immediately. What I loved most about this story was that the shifters were more animal than human. Shayanne, is a half-breed and was raised differently, so she thinks a different way. In this story she just turned 18 and will attend her first full-moon run of the summer solstice (yearly ceremony to celebrate mating bonds, new births, and worldwide pack alliances). After this she will go and attend college and live a somewhat normal life. However, then she finds out she is to mate with Alpha Grey Nash. She is afraid of him, and he takes what he wants and is very possessive. I really enjoyed this story a lot, and wish this was a full length novel. I need for Madeline to write more Shifter romances.
