This is an excellent mystery, soddened by overwhelming misogynistic implications within every sentence & the unnecessary sexual undertones within every single event. I mean, did we really have to describe every woman through the nature of her breasts?

Throughout the first half of the book, I was intent of giving it a 1-star review. The additional 2 stars were given with a sense of guilt, because Sidney Sheldon, while being a fucking sexist nymphomaniac, is a magnificent storyteller. And I hate him for it.

In conclusion, you could say this book does prove satisfactory and, as the New York Daily News put it, ‘Compulsive!’ - but it is difficult to read, perhaps being even insulting to all non-men reading. Repulsive is a more accurate overall description.
