Okay so the cool girl monologue slaps, but the rest of the book is just vaguely uncomfy. Nick is such a misogynist and both diary Amy is annoying and "not-like-other-girls", something real Amy is also feeling, just more extreme. It's just weird to read a book like this in a post me-too era. Like we don't need another book about a psycho bitch tearing a perfect man down with her lies! But it was fun to read and it's not a bad book. So.

This was a great thriller/mystery. There were a lot of twists and turns that kept me wondering what was going to happen next! I could mostly predict what would happen, but I found myself dumb founded in the middle of this book. We already knew what happened to Amy by halfway through, so I was wondering what could possibly happen now? Boy I was not ready for what happened, and the ending was such a cliffhanger!

I absolutely love Gillian Flynn. Sharp Objects and Dark Places are two of my all time favorite books. But something about this book didn't mesh with me. I struggled to finish it.

Pretty good thriller, the worst people you've ever met in your life are perfect for eachother.
Spoiler Flynn describes a bowl of ranch as "semen like" and i will never forgive her for that
