I really enjoy the screen plays for FBaWtFT. The second book continues the story of Newt Scamander. This volume shows him pulled deeper in to the fight against Grindelwald. Really fun. The story is a little lighter than the first, but contains some great twists.

Hate me as much as you want
but I f***ing love Grindelwald
For me he a 2nd Dumbledore with different motives.
I enjoyed the first book/script more than the movie because it had more details.
It the opposite for this book/script,I prefer the movie over it,scenes that lasted 3-4 mins because of the special effects were only a half a page in this script, for example the last battle where Nicholas Flamel joins,it was the mos epic moment of the movie but so anticlimactic in this script.
Overall was an ok read, the only thing that I discovered more in this script was that it was Credence's Aunt who was taking care for him in that ship that sank.Maybe that will play a important role in the future movies.

While I do love the introduction of new characters and seeing Hogwarts in a different time period, this book makes me angry and I can’t forgive it for the ending. Hopefully we get a third book and it redeems itself.

You can give negative opinions on this and many questions about the impossible—I love this book and I love this magical world. I can never say anything bad about it.

4.5 After seeing the movie and reading the screenplay, I can only give it 4.5. I loved the film, def a fave of the year, just not a full five stars.

What I loved:
The magic.
The beasts.
Dumbledore and Grindelwald-I really hope the third film delves into their relationship more.
Seeing Hogwarts in the past.
Flamel-I love the dude and when he does that little run of his, fucking adorable.
Jacob, hands down the best.
Leta and Newt-I ship it so much. That I love you scene, convinced it was for Newt.
Grindelwald's charisma.

What I personally didn't:
Tina-I just don't care for her whatsoever. I really don't like her with Newt either so any romantic scene with them, I honestly feel is wasted time, especially when they spent time during a very important time making goggle eyes at one another-like priorities guys. And that scene was long and boring and I just wanted it over.
Queenie's decision. I don't get it. I hated how my fave couple-Queenie and Jacob were treated in this one, she bewitches him then abandons him and it's like why? I actually ship a HP couple and they're ruined like this? Not happy.

The Issues:
That plot twist-How is he a Dumbledore? I loved the reveal because it was built up well but I don't get how it's possible.
How is McGonagall teaching at Hogwarts before she was even born? Why did they decide to make such a glaring plot hole? What were they thinking?
Why fuck with canon? Why?

Issues I have no problem with:
Grindelwald's casting. I personally think he's played by a good actor and that's all I'll say about that.
Leta's death. Obviously I really liked her and didn't want her to die however it wasn't about her dying just for the brothers-it was to protect everyone there, not just them. And the sacrifice wasn't because of them but because of her wanting to redeem herself for killing her brother. Though I think she shouldn't have been killed in this one because although I liked her, there wasn't enough of her to truly be upset about her death, it should have happened in a later film.

The Future:
I think this was a filler movie and probably my least favourite film out of the entire HP universe however I also really enjoyed and loved it despite all the problems. I think what they need to do next is don't make the third another filler, clear up the glaring plot holes-though fuck knows how-and give us Dumbledore and Grindewald proper representation.

(tbc as I have more to say but no time to do so right now)
