Y'alll......this was fucking INSANE. I've never read either of these authors before but you know I'm going to run to their catalogues. What a well-written thriller!! I know this book is polarizing, I say give it a chance and see what you think. I get disappointed when thrillers are predictable and this book definitely was not. Just go into this blindly. Best way to do it.

KNOPE. This was soo not for me.
I read via audiobook and think that made the jumping/mixed timelines wayy more confusing. The Wife Between Us is your basic 'wife knows nothing about her clearly horrible toxic husband' plot. When Vanessas ex-husband plans to marry his new pretty young girlfriend, she stalks her replacement and tries to warn her of the evil man she is going to marry.
SPOILERS:
The big reveal is the while the gross abusive husband thought he was gaslighting his wife, she was actually letting him becuase she was trying to leave him. She was too scared to speak up and get help so she had to make him leave her.

I could have done with a bit more suspense, but this was a solid domestic thriller.

pretty predictable and that epilogue was so unnecessary

3.5. The twists were great but the overall pacing of the book was too slow.

um
i thought i would absolutely love it 3
it definitely started out great but the characters just kept on being annoying & making dumb decisions
i get the guilt of mc but i don't get why she's go this far, why she'd risk her life for someone she barely knows, someone who literally set her up & refused to open her fucking eyes
im also deeply unsatisfied with the ending, i do not give a fuck about richard's trauma, it doesn't excuse what he did. electric chair period
& the plot twists in the last pages were so weird & unnecessary. it gave "im adding a plot twist just to add a plot twist", absolutely no substance to it
actually most of the plot twists felt like that

Definite twists and gave me goosebumps but I feel like .. something was missing? Or I just wanted more.
