December 1928. Jack Sullivan organizes a Christmas party in aid of veterans in his night club. Is it possible that there might be a criminal or two in the party.
An enjoyable short story.

I read this short story immediately after finishing an anthology in which the author featured. Having visited Adelaide I was looking forward to seeing if there was anywhere I recognised. There wasn’t but it was a great little introduction to Jack Sullivan. A proper hero, with some great friends to back him up when dealing with some local lowlife who were determined to ruin his desire to help veterans. Looking forward to more.
