I love Pride and Prejudice. I have always loved Pride and Prejudice. But, would you believe… I now think I prefer Persuasion (audible gasp).

Both are fantastic and worthy of 4 star reviews. But I flew through Persuasion in a way that I just couldn’t with Pride and Prejudice.

I have always loved the story, but after engaging so well with Persuasion, I was a tad disappointed at how long it took me to really get into (and get through) Pride and Prejudice.

BUT, as I said before, it’s still 100% worthy of a 4 star review.

While reading this book, the first half of it seemed to be a drag for me. I just couldn’t get into it and took a while to get through it. However, the second half of the book was really good. I loved the relationship between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy and the sub plots paid off a lot to the story as a whole.
