I love Bobbie, but I hate her nephew. Most of the novella was spent shaking my head and wishing I could shake sense into the main character. It's hard to empathize with him, maybe because I've never been a teenage boy. Oh, and I've also never manufactured recreational drugs for fun and profit.

Nice background story for the Expanse, adds colour but not a lot of depth to the series.

These writers are really talented at capturing viewpoints, and in this short story they cleverly convey the mindset of a surly 15 year old boy involved in some shady business. It's always interesting to see a familiar character through new eyes, so seeing intergalactic arse-kicker Bobbie Draper as a slightly weird aunt who rarely leaves the house was fun.

Not the best of the novellas, but a fun vignette featuring Bobbie Draper. The kind of story that doesn’t really benefit from the sci-fi setting.

Total waste of my time and not even sure why it was written, not to mention the narrator 's stupid sound effects HRMPH

Not bad but doesn't add much (anything really) to the series. Feels a bit contrived and like it's trying to be breaking bad. Quick enough read that you might as well but you could skip this and not be missing out on anything.
