This wonder of a book transports the reader to all the fantastic lands imagined and believed real throughout the ages. Atlantis, Hyperborea, Alamut, the lands of the Prester John, Mu... all are here with how they got so famous and the myriad takes they took. Lavishly illustrated, full of wonders, what else can a reader want?

This is a beautiful book, and I'm really glad I own a copy, but realistically...I'm never going to finish it. The interest level just isn't there.
