Quick read. Cool concept and storytelling. Definitely got creeped out by the end.

“You’ll become a story, too. We all become ghost stories one day. A good ghost story gets told…and retold. It’s in the telling where the tale takes on a life of its own. A ghost story grows. It exists on the breath of those who tell it. This one will live beyond me.”

The concept of this book is great, but the execution isn't good. A struggle to finish

This book was so fun and the perfect October read! It perfectly captured the feelings of sitting around a campfire and hearing a ghost story, while also touching on some interesting criticisms of the horror genre in film. While this maybe wasn't the most literary book I've ever read, and did get a little repetitive at times, I have to give it five starts because it was such a fun, quick, and easy read. I seriously couldn't put it down!

P.s. If you liked this book, try two other favorites of mine that deal with some similar topics:

That was a fun and fast spooky book. For me it was more about the atmosphere though there were some genuinely spooky scenes.
