i don’t know that i could say enough cute things about this book. i’ve seen the cover a lot but can’t remember ever seeing distinctly if people enjoyed it or not, but i am soooo happy that i picked it up.

sooo many good tropes. single dad, fake dating, friends to lovers, a little forced proximity. farley is a comedian, so it’s only natural the book has funny moments, but i found myself giggling a lot and just thinking she was so silly. her personality made her super likeable and i really enjoyed her as the FMC. and meyer…whew. the hot single dad energy is strong with that one! he was amazing and sweet and adorable and funny and kind. i loved him and needed a hug from him the whole time i was reading. i loved the deaf representation from his daughter hazel, and their relationship was just the best. AND THOSE EPILOUGES?! oh i could have lost my mind from being so happy.

i loved loved loved this book. (how many times can i say “loved” in this review?)

I adored this audiobook! The casting was fabulous and it felt like listening to a comedy show at some points. I was literally chuckling out loud!

Funny Feelings has all the fixings for a delicious rom-com:

* fake dating
* friends to lovers
* forced proximity
* single dad
* age gap
* mutual pining
* the best banter
* bonus - deaf representation!

There were so many moments that made my heart swoon. Farley & Meyer are perfection, both together and separately. They were deeply relatable and their personal growth throughout the story was lovely to watch unfold. I'm already looking forward to reading more from Tarah!

Farley is a comedienne, crass, irreverent, loud and chasing her dreams in a male dominated comedy world. She’s got a good heart and a lot of love to give. And she’s allowed to follow her dreams whether or not anyone thinks it’s proper. Meyer is her manager and sees her, right to her soul.

Glad I picked this one up on a whim at a romance bookstore in San Diego.
