Overall I enjoyed the story and the relationships (especially those between Farley and Hazel) but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I’m not a huge fan of stand up comedy in general so I’m not sure why I thought I would enjoy a book centered around a stand up comedian and her manager more.
The last halfish last quarter of the book felt very rushed as well. We saw
the fallout of Meyer deciding to stop managing Farley and we saw them have the big argument/discussion about it but then we saw none of the resolution. It just jumped ahead 3 months and while things weren’t back to what they were before, they were pretty good and then the book was over.
I just feel like there could’ve been more to that

Such a sweet and funny romance book!
I thought the hand holding scene was so adorable, the way Meyer used a fork to eat sushi just so he could continue holding Farley's hand was everything!
I thought it made some serious topics into something we could laugh at to make the situation just a bit better.
Like when her mother passed away, a bird crapped on her casket and all Farley could do was laugh.
It seemed like something that could totally happen because life isn't picture perfect.

Only part that I was meh on was the chapters of them in the past. I get why it's important to see how long they've known each other but I think as a reader we have an idea how close their relationship is by just the amount of time they've known each other. I would have preferred more of the present because their love story was so cute!

Infinite stars. Maybe my favorite romance…ever? Meyer and Farley could not be more perfect. Meyer is top tier book boyfriend. Fee is stupidly funny but also so vulnerable and pure. Hazel? So awesome and funny and adorable and insightful. The one-liners. The therapy representation. The tension and build-up. The MUTUAL PINING omg. Perfection. I have literally no notes. THE most feel-good book ever. I’m just so glad to live in the same world as Tarah DeWitt.

This genuinely made me laugh out loud! But I wanting something more out of it. It felt a little... surface level? There wasn't a whole lot to it. No conflict or anything. Which can be great, but not what I wanted out of this.

I loved seeing Meyer get out of his shell and Farley grow her career. But I mean... there isn't a whole lot here to say.

A little disappointed, but overall don't regret reading this.

well, this was a miss for me. :(
i really wanted to love it but the writing wasn't for me, the pacing and the flashbacks felt off, the characters lacked depth I couldn't connect with them, and the tropes and the topics discussed in the booked were good but I was dragging myself through the story. also the fact that they're comedians just makes me uncomfortable idk
