*This review is based on the audiobook.*

I have mulled over my rating for this for the past few days, on whether to give 2 or 3 stars; I think that explains my rating alone. Don't get me wrong there was nothing with it as such but I've read so many better books than it especially 3 star books which is why I had to give 2 stars.

It was an interesting premise and most of the book was enjoyable enough but I just wanted more; I can wholeheartedly say that I doubt I will remember this book in a month let alone in a year's time.

Didn't particularly like any of the characters and I felt the last big twist fell a bit flat.

I would check out the author's other books because I do feel she is a good writer and has decent ideas.

This book starts with the main character Sophie waking up and explaining to the police what led her to the hospital after a terrible tragedy struck and how it led to that. On the surface it looked like the Macreavy family was a perfect, social media influencer family that everyone looked up to and wanted to be, but looks can be deceiving, at least that is what Sophie's story is... As her story continues so do the things that just aren't adding up sand it leaves you to wonder what really happened. They do say there's three sides to every story.. your story, their story and the truth..

This book was an easy read for me, it was fast paced, had a great plot and it kept me engaged throughout the whole book. Just when I thought I had every piece of the puzzle there i would find another one hidden and I would race to try and fit it in before the book told me where it went. The story really made me want to root for Sophie, to find the whole truth, and for her to be the true victim in this whole story, but there were definitely times where I wondered if my mind was really rooting for the right person. The ending of the book took my breath away and Sarah really hit the ball out of the park with it. You will not leave the story with any questions left in you. If you like a book where it is all tied up perfectly, this is the book for you. I really enjoyed this book and will be reading more of her books in the future.

This is an enjoyable book, told in the first person. We are told the story from Sophie's point of view and the first person narrative is easy to read and I zipped through the book to find out what happened next.
The problem is that a book written solely in the first-person narrative always makes me second guess everything I am being told. I know I am only being told one side of the story, one person's viewpoint and that person is most likely an unreliable narrator. I think this made me analyse everything in detail and so very quickly I was able to guess where the plot was leading.
There are enough twists and turns in the book to make you want to keep reading despite all this.

I received an ARC of this book from Bloodhound books in return for an honest review.

Overall a good book. Started off slow but by the halfway point it picked up. The last ten chapters were really where the story kept twisting. Truly didn’t have a clue about who was involved until about halfway and even the big twist at the end I didn’t see coming.
