A fascinating glimpse into the psychology of the clones as well as behind the scenes action of the intersecting storylines in the first episodes. This felt like a natural and interesting extension of the show, and I was happy for the chance to see more of what was going on in these moments.

This is mostly just a rehash of season 1, which is great for people who need a refresher on what happened! There's always so much to keep track of with the show so I'm glad I read these comics. There are a few things (especially in the Rachel issue) that have not been mentioned in the show which makes this series worth reading. The connection between blew my mind and I hope they meet in the show. The book ends with a nice setup for the new comic series Orphan Black: Helsinki , which I am so excited to read!!

This was really disappointing to me: very fragmented narratives, with a lot of repetition from season 1 (certain scenes were literally word for word from the show), and sadly none of the backstories explored really told me much I didn't already know from watching (we got a few new tidbits about Rachel that were interesting, and a smidge of Helena's past, but other than that...). I would've liked to see a deeper exploration of the characters' past, or perhaps a look at the clones who were deceased at the start of the show that we didn't get to know. Wouldn't recommend to fans looking for more since the stories are very bare bones/don't add much to the established narrative, or to newcomers, because the narrative is written mainly for those who've already been watching. If I'd gone into this without having seen any of the show, I definitely wouldn't have been able to follow it.

3.5 stars. Good, but not as good as I had hoped. More or less just a retelling of scenes in the show, just in a different format and with slightly more insight to the character's thoughts. But I will say that I read the issue about Rachel when it first came out a couple years ago and I found it really interesting.

As a companion, it was good but if you have not watched Orphan Black, I think you'd be so confused.
