"She ran at me.
Hair flying, arms pumping, smile spread clean across her prettier-than-all-else face, Loulou ran at me like she’d done when she was seven and she would, I knew, until she could run no more.
And, like I’d done when she was seven and like I would, I knew, until I could stand straight no more, I caught her in my arms and hefted her tight against me."

"“This is it,” I warned her. “I’m it for you after this.”
“You’ve always been it for me,” she gutted me by saying."

Daddy Zeus has been infamous since this book was released. I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to meet him. He was growly, possessive, caring, and so utterly devoted to Loulou. His relationship with her was so pure when they’d confide in each other through their letters, and that protectiveness blossomed into more until it was all-encompassing.

Louise’s story had such a tragic start. She was dealt a tough hand, with getting shot, two bouts of cancer, and the illusion of a perfect family all before the age of 17. But that tough skin and rebellious attitude that she developed helped her fit right in with the MC.

The back and forth with the Nightstalkers MC felt a little dragged out and underwhelming at times. I hope that that gets resolved soon.

I hadn’t read the first book so it was painfully obvious that I was missing part of the story. That said, this book was enjoyable to a certain extent.

The characters were great for the most part, the story was kind of sweet and their was a decent sub plot.

My issues with this book is mostly based on the underage element. I went into this knowing there would be some underage sex but what I didn’t expect was for our male lead to enjoy her being underage. He got off on it to an extent that it felt uncomfortable.

I think if Louise was a few years older I definitely would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Regardless this book made me smile and cry and it packed some serious heat.

Enjoy the plotline but often cringed at the dialogue and writing.

Wow. I absolutely loved this book. I love the story. If it weren’t for the fact that I was busy with other things these past few days I would have finished reading this the day after I started it.

Now I can’t wait for the next book.

If you are into MC romance books I do highly recommend this one .

Am I silly for starting this immediately after DNFing the first one? Yes. But at first it was working for me! It felt less over-the-top than the first book, and I thought we were going to get a slower build given the ages of the characters. But then it went straight into sexual attraction and the MMC made one too many comments along the lines of “waiting to do this for years” even though she was only 17 and I was out.

Zeus and Lulus story had me HOOKED. I could not put this book down.
Zeus and lulu met through unfortunate circumstances and were pen pals for years. The letters in this book were *chefs kiss* Zeus may not be your typical book boyfriend and the age could be considered a bit much for some people so keep those things in mind. BUT Zeus and Lulu are so clearly each others equals. There is so much growth throughout this book for both characters and it was perfect!
