was this book good? no (and i am very mad about it because the first 1/3 is rly solid and interesting and it had SO much potential, it COULD'VE been good, listen--). do i still think it is absolutely iconic solely because it not only gives the male characters dangly earrings, but actually makes them wearing said earrings plot-relevant? yes, 100%
