I love being back in the world of Pellinor, even if it is just for a moment. It is fun to see Cadvan and Saliman and the start of their friendship. Perhaps it is time to reread the Pellinor books again.

A very quick peek at Saliman's beginning friendship with Cadvan! I so wish it was more than 20 pages long.

My only issue with this book is that it's too short. Croggon is a phenomenal writer and this made me wish we had a book from Saliman's prospective. It's been years since I've read the series and even eith this short installment I fell right back into it. I love it so much, it's criminally underrated.

I really enjoyed this prequel although it felt a little short.
